\u201cCould not be more pleased with our whole experience working with Josh and Jodi Castleberry to create our dream house on Lake Hamilton. Listening to our wants and needs and then being completely honest with us was at the top of our list when selecting a builder. We had a lakeside lot, a budget, a good idea of the design, and a wish list of must haves. We told Josh that we wanted a realistic estimate and that if we went over budget we wanted it to be because of us. The first thing Josh told us was we would not get the garage layout we had citing a lack of room to get in and out. He said if we would just change the direction we could save a lot of money on site prep, concrete, move a roof line and actually provide us with a better deck design across both levels across the back of the house. That suggestion allowed us to immediately upgrade the wood decks to Timbertech composite decking and have an easily accessable two-car garage. Jodi’s help was invaulable when selecting cabinetry, hardware, countertops, etc. While the final budget went over, it was only because as Josh saved us money during construction we added a couple of extra projects and made several upgrades along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you find yourself traveling east across Lake Hamilton on the Highway 70 bridge, just look right for the new navy blue house on the first point and you’ll likely see us entertaining guests on the amazing outdoor areas. We made our dream house and new friends for life.\u201d

We are new to the South and as a result, had no barometer for choosing a respected company to take on the task of completely renovating our home.\u00a0 In early 2020, we began researching about a dozen general contractors around the area and settled on 3 companies.\u00a0 After setting up interviews at our new home with these 3 local contractors, we knew Mr Castleberry\u00a0was the right pick for us!\u00a0 At the time of our project we were living\u00a0on the west coast so all communication was done over the phone and through text messaging.\u00a0 Everything was communicated effectively and we had huge peace of mind because\u00a0we were\u00a0kept in the loop throughout the entire project.\u00a0 Considering the COVID Pandemic was in high alert at the time, we were surprised our project was completed ahead of schedule.
Our home renovation was extensive and included removing old carpeting and flooring and replacing with new hardwood floors throughout, removal of walls to open up our lake views and add a breakfast nook, additions of new walls to turn our 2 bedroom home into a 4 bedroom functioning vacation home, wallpaper removal and repainting of walls, trim, ceilings, doors, removing, protecting then replacing all hardware, window treatments, etc, after painting was completed, adding an 8×8 foot custom rounded bar counter and entertainment area, relocating laundry room to opposite side of house, fixing our large water feature in front yard, fixing and replacing all outer lighting along seawall and around house, fixing broken brick on exterior of home. (I’m sure I’m missing a few things)
To say Mr. Castleberry is knowledgeable in his\u00a0field would be an understatement.\u00a0 \u00a0He has an expanded list of professional subcontractors that work for him and respect him.\u00a0 Beyond our home job, he was able to connect us with reputable\u00a0landscaping and lawn care businesses that carry the same degree of professionalism and quality to their work.\u00a0 (A plus for us since we were new to the area.)\u00a0 On a side note – we were in desperate need of some help in the decorating area of\u00a0expertise so we were able to hire his wife, Jodi Castleberry, who has excellent taste and a good eye for home design.\u00a0 She was extremely reasonable in price for consulting with us on anything from our paint color schemes, to suggestions on furnishings, to redesigning kitchens and baths, and assisting in crafting a beautiful exterior home upgrade.
Because he did such an amazing job for us the first time around, we recently rehired\u00a0Josh Castleberry Construction to help us with an enormous\u00a0project in Hot Springs which involves the renovation of 9 historic cottages that are almost 100\u00a0years old.\u00a0 Our project was originally\u00a0slated for completion by Jan 2022, but we are currently about 4 months ahead of schedule primarily due to Mr Castleberry’s time management skills and his ability to ensure efficient\u00a0work is delivered from his\u00a0staff and subcontractors.\u00a0\u00a0
We plan to build a new home in Hot Springs Village soon and you can bet that we will DEFINITELY hire Josh Castleberry Construction for our next project!\u201d
